Jossie Haines instantly became fascinated with technology when she was given a Commodore 64 for Christmas at age 5. For the last 19 years, she’s worked as a software engineer, tech lead, and engineering leader at the forefront of emerging technology across Silicon Valley, including engineering manager for the Siri Media Domains at Apple, and both Principal Software Engineer and Director of Engineering at Zynga for a variety of teams. She is currently the Platform Engineering Director at Tile, where she is integrating the Tile technology into the 5 billion Bluetooth devices being released this year. She is also an advocate for women in the tech industry and has mentored at Girls Who Code and Technovations. She led 4 middle school teams to create applications that helped their communities. Jossie ran Women at Siri, and leads the Women at Tile employee resource group, and mentorship program. The initial run of the mentorship program empowered 29 pairs of employees at Tile to develop their careers.

Jordanna Kwok wrote her first computer program using Apple Logo at a public library in fifth grade, but was so disappointed in the turtle graphics that she didn’t touch another piece of code until late in high school. She has since acquired a B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering and M.A.Sc. in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Human Factors Engineering. Over the years, she has discovered a passion for developing user interfaces and leading teams to bring compelling user experiences to life. Her career in the software mobile industry began in the pre-iPhone era at BlackBerry where she wrote APIs for the SDK and managed the core user interface components team. She later joined a small startup (later acquired by SAP) developing mobile business intelligence apps and forming a front-end web team to launch its SaaS product. She is currently an Engineering Manager at Netflix on the mobile product team that responsible for building kickass features in the Netflix iOS app. At Netflix, she leads a number of initiatives to further inclusion and diversity at various levels of the organization.
